Weddings Trends for 2015....DRUMROLL.....it's YOU!

Just when you think you have gone through websites, blogs, Pinterest boards, and magazines to see the latest wedding trends, I would like for you to take a minute to look at the obvious....YOU!

Planning a wedding is no easy task, and unless you are a classified Super Hero, you will not be able to do this alone.  Where do you start?  How about the very beginning, no not so much like ABC,  but more like the beginning of a story.  YOUR stories, you and your partner whom will join you soon in a lifetime of marital bliss!

Take into account how you met,  who you both are as individuals and most importantly who you are as a couple.  Make notes with each other about the best times, and yes the tough times, after all it has shaped you both into who you are today and is a huge part of your dynamics together.

I recently read  an article about the latest wedding trends of 2015 on a  popular blog, and everything from brights to woodland weddings and even unplugged weddings, it all reminded me of moving herds...oh that's cute, let's do that!  NO!  Let's NOT do that let's do US!  I love it when the story of a couple unveils right before everybody's eyes on the day of the wedding, especially those who were invited to come and share this day.  Who knows better than the families and friends?

So from the very beginning, your story, your venue and setting, the invitation, and the ceremony, it  should all include one of maybe two things, and that is the two of YOU!

Congratulations, and may you have a beautiful wedding and bountiful new lives together!

Planning the perfect wedding ceremony!

When you hear the word wedding, there are several things that come to mind, yes of course there will be a celebration and even a party, if you will, however, let's get to the nitty gritty!

Each time a couple contacts me for their ceremony, I am probably just as excited as they are, ok well "almost!"  What gets me excited is listening to the couple and learning about dynamics about how they met, who they are as individuals as well as who they are as a couple.

Most couples know only one thing when they come to meet with me, they're getting married!  I love seeing their "a ha" moments when we break things down starting at the very beginning, the tone and flow of their event.  I also like to discover together exactly how their day is planned to fit them exclusively.

For instance, today, I met with a lovely couple who said they did not have vows, nor any symbolisms but after speaking with them they are both avid readers and the groom to be himself is a writer!  How on earth can there be zero vows and vows written by themselves?  Another thing we discovered is they are both crazy about walking on the beach, as soon as I mentioned a "sand ceremony" perhaps with sand taken from their beach, their eyes lit up!

I love also reminding my couples that this day is to share with their family and loved ones, but essentially, it is their day and while at the altar and saying "I do", there should only be two people in this space, and that is the couple.  It does not have to be rocket science, fancy or expensive, it just has to be YOU!  Happy wedding planning and congratulations!
